It is illegal in regions such as Puerto Rico and other areas of the United States, especially on holidays like New Year’s Eve. But in many countries where law and order situation is not much tight, this is in practice and many causalities are caused by this.
This incident happened in Bathinda city of Punjab state of India where a girl dancer died on the spot by the celebratory gunfire.
